The Company: Impulse Medical Technologies, Inc., doing business as “The Electrode Store,” is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of the best neuro-diagnostic supplies for electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electroencephalography (EEG), intra-operative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM), and electroretinography (ERG). In business since 1975, we are FDA-registered and hold ISO 13485, MDSAP and CE Mark certificates, as well as licenses or registrations in select other countries. Our manufacturing capabilities include general assembly as well as clean room assembly of sterile Class II medical devices. We are a values-driven company, and strive for good customer service, quick shipping, product knowledge, and competitive prices.
Our Products are generally used in the diagnosis of neurological and neuromuscular disorders including carpal tunnel syndrome, epilepsy and many others. We offer high quality needle electrodes, disposable and reusable EEG cups and other surface electrodes, electrode-caps, contact lens electrodes, electrode gels/pastes/creams and related accessories for both human and veterinary applications. Needle electrodes are our specialty, and include monopolar needle electrodes, such as our top of the line Protectrode® series, concentric needle electrodes, hypodermic needles for EMG-guided botulinum toxin injections, and subdermal EEG and IONM/IOM needle electrodes. Our needles are made from the highest quality surgical suture stainless steel, coated with a proprietary coating for insulation and ease of insertion, and are conically sharpened (cone-shaped or pencil-pointed) to produce minimal bleeding during and after the examination.
History: The Electrode Store was founded in 1975 in California but relocated to Washington state in the early 1990s. The company was owned and managed by the Cooke family until 2015 when it was acquired by Impulse Medical Technologies, Inc. and the Obey family. The Electrode Store has been in its current location in the Pacific Northwest of the US (the small town of Buckley, Washington) for over 2 decades.
